Edgware CC announce tour squad to Kent
After months of waiting, after weeks of speculation, the Edgware CC tour squad to Kent has been announced.
The tour squad, which was announced by captain Ciaran Hosty at a local subway restaurant, contains no fewer than two debutants. "We've picked an experience squad for the tour and one or two guys that will come as a surprise to the die hard Edgware supporters. But with over 180 Edgware caps between the guys selected, we should be more than competitive."
The squad is split between those who will participate in both games against Tunbridge Wells and Harbledown CC and those that will play on just the Saturday (Tunbridge) or Sunday (Harbledown), with the majority opting to travel down on the Friday to prepare for the tour at the local pubs and restaurants.
Itinerary
Friday 7 September
The squad will arrive at Tunbridge Wells on Friday 7 September, between 1800-2000 and check into the 'Tunbridge Wells Retreat', a hotel 5 minutes walk from the local train station. From here, the players will be greeted by a traditional Kentish dance and ceremony and recover from their intense train lag. The players will then enjoy some local cuisine and drinks from the area.

The team will check out of the 'Tunbridge Wells Retreat' by 11am on the Saturday morning and head to the Nevill Ground by 11.30 for a series of warm ups, net sessions and for some, hangover naps.
