Edgware CC announce new three-year plan
The Edgware Cricket Club board have today announced their three-year plan which starts in 2019. The club first announced a three-year plan in 2017, however, after exceeding expectations, the board have decided to make a premature update.
The plan outlines the major expectations over the next three seasons, including teams, tours, infrastructure, i.e. home grounds and facilities as well as number of playing members. The key takeaways from this year's update, includes a potential tour to Australia in 2020, the introduction of a Sunday 2nd XI in 2021 and the expansion of the T20 development side from 3 fixtures to 6 fixtures also by 2021.
"It's important that we continue to grow as a club and setting three year targets like this, allow us to do just that. If you had said to us back in 2015, that by 2019 we'd be on an overseas tour to Malaga or spending our second year in a Sunday league competition having been promoted in the first, we'd have definitely mocked you." said Ciaran Hosty at local establishment, Adam & Eve.
