Edgware suspend all cricket until further notice

Edgware CC have today announced that they will be suspending all cricket activity until further notice following the ECB's statement on Thursday.

This means that the remaining indoor nets, which were set to run until Tuesday 31 March, have now been cancelled. Furthermore, the club's inaugural inter club fixture which was scheduled to see a ROW XI take on an India XI has also been cancelled.

Club captain Ciaran Hosty has released the following statement:

"It's obviously a very disappointing time for all of our players who have worked tirelessly over the winter to prepare themselves for the upcoming season. However, in unprecedented times such as these, it is important to keep things in context and appreciate the importance of your own health and also those within your community. Therefore, it is with reluctance that we suspend all cricketing activity until further notice. We will continue to monitor government advice and recommendations from the ECB and hope to enjoy an exciting, albeit truncated 2020 season."

An updated playing programme will be made available by the club once a firm season start date has been announced.
