A tribute to Dharmish Bhatt

It is with great sadness that Edgware Cricket Club announces the passing of one of it's most beloved players, Dharmish Bhatt.

Dharmish or as he was affectionately known, Dharms, was one of the Edgware originals, making his debut against Totteridge Millhillians in August 2015. Dharmish would go on to make 45 appearances for the boys in blue, scoring over 250 runs, captaining the 2nd XI (of which he had a 100% win record), being part of two Chess Valley League winning sides and Edgware's first overseas tour to Malaga in 2019. Off the cricket field, Dharmish will be best remembered for his larger than life personality and his infectious spirit for which he was adored by the club, his friends and family.

"Dharmish epitomised what it meant to be a club cricketer and more importantly, what it meant to be a human being. He carried the principles around the spirit of cricket with him into his everyday life and as a result was an honest, fair, kind-hearted and selfless individual for which the world is worse-off for his passing. My heart and my condolences go to his wonderful family who have much credit to take for Dharmish the person and we hope they take comfort in the fact his memories and cover drive will live long in the memory of me and everyone else who had the pleasure of knowing Dharmish Bhatt" - Ciaran Hosty, Club Chairman.
