Beans out for 3 weeks after suffering devastating ankle strain
Dean 'Beans' Veerapen is expected to miss at least 3 weeks after suffering an ankle strain in Edgware's terrific victory against Chingford in the Chess Valley Sunday League Division Three on Sunday.
Beans, who is currently the leading wicket-taker for Edgware in the Hertfordshire Saturday League is believed to have suffered the initial injury whilst attempting to shuffle on a local dance floor earlier in the month.
"Dean will be sorely missed on the pitch. Like his namesake, he has grown and matured significantly over the past couple seasons. His disciplined line and length will be a big miss, but just as importantly his character and demeanour will leave a void that the squad will have to make up for. We hope to see our Bean running in again soon" spoke skipper Sajith Sriwickramasekaran at the club's weekly net session.
"Look its tragic news, it really is. It's gonna be a big miss for us on the field but most importantly I'm going to have to find myself an alternative lift for Saturday." Spoke Ciaran Hosty spotted outside Gatwick Airport.
GAMES DEAN WILL LIKELY MISS:
It is believed that Dean will fly out to Miami on Friday to see the same specialist who performed work on David Beckham (at the cost of the club, who as a result are nearing bankruptcy). We wish Dean all the best on his recovery and hope to see him in Edgware colours again soon.
