Edgware announce squad for tour of Liverpool

Edgware Cricket Club have announced their tour squad for two fixtures in Liverpool next week. The squad consists of a mix of youth and experience with more than 374 Edgware caps amongst the touring party (see full squad below). Also included will be likely debutant Nikhil Borkhatria and Nabeel Shahid, the latter making his last Edgware appearance in April 2017. However, it is expected that Nabeel will be used in more of a mentoring role on this trip as well as club physio.

Nakul Jilka will captain Edgware for the first time in Sajith Sriwickramasekaran's absence and Rahul Kothari will vice-captain the squad following his successful captaincy stint to date in the club's T20 fixtures.

The club will play Birkenhead Park on Thursday 24th June which will act as a memorial game for Dharmish Bhatt (Edgware CC) and Josh Downie (Birkenhead Park CC) who both tragically lost their lives earlier this year (see flyer below). The club's second fixture will then take place on Friday 25th June against Liverpool Cricket Club at the picturesque Aigburth Cricket Ground.
