Full details of inter-club fixture released

Details have emerged relating to the club's annual inter-club fixture which is due to take place at Canons High School on either Saturday or Sunday 10/11 April (11am). The club hopes to finalise the date in the next week or so following ongoing conversations with the school.

The club has also released specific rules around batting and bowling restrictions which aim to boost opportunities for players on both sides and provide a balanced fixture. These include:

The match will be a 40-over fixture starting at 11am
Edgware will aim to have one neutral umpire present

Batting Rules

Batsmen must retire once 50 has been passed.
However, the batsman can return once all remaining batsmen have been dismissed.
Should more than 1 batsmen retire, they must return in order of their original position in the batting order.
A batsman may elect to retire out if they wish to allow another retired batsman to bat instead of them

Bowling Rules

A bowler can bowl a max of 8 overs per innings.
A bowler is bowled-out as soon as they take three wickets in the innings. If the third wicket is taken before the completed over, the bowler can complete the over they've started.
All players in a team must bowl a minimum of 1 over besides a designated wicket-keeper. Failure to do this will result in a penalty of 20 runs awarded to the batting side for each player not bowled.

No-Balls and Wides

A front foot no-ball or a above waist no-ball will result in 1 run and a free hit to the batting side
"Test match wides" are in play throughout the fixture, however if a wide is called 1 run shall be given to the batting side

India XI have announced their playing XI which will be led by Nakul Jilka, whilst the R.O.W XI have announced their squad of 12 which will be captained by Sajith Sriwickramasekaran. The squads are as follows:
